  • The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Injections Clinic (Trade name for Diagnostic Clinics Limited) is committed to protecting your privacy and legal rights when dealing with your personal information. This Privacy policy intends to provide clear details about the information we collect about you (or anyone you have provided us with information about, like your child) and how we use and protect it. It also provides information about your rights in relation to the data we process.

  • If you have any queries about our Privacy policy, are unsure of something, or want to discuss with us about the personal information we hold, please contact us using our contact form.

  • THE MUSCULOSKELETAL ULTRASOUND & INJECTIONS CLINIC will adhere to the principles of good information governance set by the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulations and the Data Protection Act 2018).

  • Data protection laws require us to take the appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unlawful access or processing of your personal information.

  • Our clinical and administrative staff are trained in handling personal information appropriately and responding to a data breach, and we practice the common cybersecurity requirements.

  • There are two types of personal information that we may collect/process: Standard personal information (which can include but is not limited to your name, date of birth, and contact details like address, email and telephone number) and Special category personal information (which can include but not limited to clinical notes, examination findings, medical images and reports, correspondence and communications from other clinical professionals which relates to your current or past clinical care). We may obtain this information directly from you, either face to face when you complete our patient's information and booking form or through communication with other healthcare professionals.

  • By law, we need a lawful basis for processing your Standard personal information and a lawful basis as well as specific conditions/conditions for processing your Special Category personal information. We process your necessary personal information for two reasons. First, it is a legal obligation as we are required to maintain complete and accurate records relating to the health care services provided to you. The records that we maintain require that we process a subset of your Standard personal information and Special category personal information so that we can provide healthcare services to you. Secondly, we process your data if it is in our legitimate interests (we need to take sufficient information in order to record whom you are when booking appointments, and so we can email you with relevant information about your appointments, invoices, insurer authorisation codes, etc, and to communicate with you if we need to cancel or rearrange appointments).

  • We use online secure storage or hardware with industry standard encryption methods to store your personal information. We don’t use systems aimed purely at consumers, such as Dropbox personal or Hotmail.

  • Diagnostic Clinics Limited is registered with the Information Commissioners Office, registration number ZB339430.

  • We work closely with healthshare clinic west London (Riverside clinic), who facilitate our booking services. Please refer to the www.healthshare.org.uk for more information about their privacy policy.

  • We will not disclose your information to any other party without your consent. This includes disclosing such information to other healthcare professionals (like your GP or hospital specialists). You will be emailed an electronic copy of the report shortly after your appointment. You are encouraged to share this with relevant healthcare professionals (like your GP or other hospital specialists).

  • In very rare circumstances, when there is a significant risk to your health or the public health, or when we are required by law, we may share your personal information with another party (for example, emergency/ambulance services or social health services). We will always aim to obtain your consent before this if it is safe to do so.

  • We may use your contact details to update you regarding information that we believe is relevant to you/your health. This can include but is not limited to: changes in the location or circumstances of our clinic, if we start providing a new service, or if we start providing our services at an additional or alternative location. We may also use your contact details so that you can provide us with feedback to improve our services. If you wish we do not use your contact details for such purposes, please contact us using our contact us form.

  • To treat you, we must store records about you, including the clinical record of your appointments and treatment and the unique identifier we use to be sure the record is yours. The unique identifiers are your name, date of birth and contact details, i.e. the information above. We use the booking system of healthshare clinic for this purpose. Healthshare clinic will have direct access to your clinical records and information to facilitate the booking process and the continuation of your management (if applicable). Otherwise, we will only share your information with other healthcare professionals with your consent. For example, when making a referral for you to another practitioner. We store your GP's name for this reason. You will be emailed an electronic copy of the report shortly after your appointment. You are encouraged to share this with relevant healthcare professionals (like your GP or other hospital specialists).

  • If you are having a treatment with us, we are legally required to store/process your personal information as detailed above. If, at any point later, you want to change/withdraw your consent for the collection/use of personal information, or if you want us to delete or change the collected information (if you no longer have treatment with us), then please let us know using the contact form.
